Yogesh Golwalkar plays for Major Teams – India A, Kings XI Punjab, Middlesex County Cricket Club London (UK), Rest of India for Irani Trophy, Central Zone for Duleep Trophy and Madhya Pradesh (Ranji Trophy). Golwalkar started with Madhya Pradesh in the 1999-2000 season, where he spent most of his career.
In 2003, Golwalkar took on the side of Madhya Pradesh, who was the younger of 25, as the first national championship title in Madhya Pradesh Cricket’s history. After Holkar Team, Golwalkar became national champions under the leadership of Legende K Naidu in the longer version. The strategic, clever and matured leadership of Golwalkar during the Under-25 BCCI tournament has been instrumental in their wide win over some of the large teams and favorites including Mumbai, Punjab and Tamil Nadu.
Kings XI Punjab signed it on 16 February 2015 at the 2015 Pepsi IPL auction in Bangalore.
As a Spin Bowling Consultant specialist, the Andhra Cricket Association invited him to work with their spinners in 2018. Golwalkar is currently working for the Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association as a member of the Cricket Committee (CAC: 2019-2022) responsible for appointing, evaluating and reviewing all coaches, coaching needs, selection committee members and support staff for various government teams.
