Tom Curran is a South African international cricket player who plays for England in Test matches, One Day Internationals, and Twenty20 Internationals. In 2015, he won the Cricket Writers’ Club Young Cricketer of the Year award for his performances. He made his List A debut against Essex in August 2013 and his First-Class debut against Cambridge University in April 2014.
He made his Test debut against Australia on 4 January 2017 and his ODI debut against West Indies on 29 September 2017. In the same year, Curran made his T20I debut against South Africa and taking 3 wickets for 33 runs including a wicket in his first over.
In the 2018 Indian Premier League, he played for Kolkata Knight Riders as the replacement of Mitchell Starc in the 5 matches and took 6 wickets. In 2019, Curran was bought by Rajasthan Royals for the 2020 season for his base price of Rs.1 crore in the Indian Premier League. In February 2021, Curran was purchased by the Delhi Capitals for the 2021 Indian Premier League.
Curran is the son of former cricket player Kevin Curran. His brother Sam Curran and Ben Curran both are also cricket players.
