Sheldon Jackson plays for Puducherry in domestic cricket. In February 2013, he was signed by the Royal Challengers Bangalore after a successful domestic season in 2012–13. In 2017, he was a member of the Kolkata Knight Riders IPL team. Jackson was again purchased by the Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL auction in February 2021, ahead of the 2021 Indian Premier League.
