Rajeshwari Sachdev started her career with a Marathi film Aayatya Gharat Gharoba in 1991. She also appeared in English and Punjabi movies and also gave a voice role as a Draupadi in an animation picture Arjun: The Warrior Prince. Her prominent role is Sakina in 1996 musical film Sardari Begum and won the 1997 National Film Award for Best Supporting Actress.
In 2007, she recorded the pop song “Hulle Hullare” for the album of the same name.
