Navdeep Saini is a right-handed batsman and a right-arm fast bowler. In August 2019, he made his international debut for the India cricket team.
On 2 January 2016, Saini made his Twenty20 in the 2015–16 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. In the 2017–18 Ranji Trophy, he was the supporting wicket-taker for Delhi with 34 dismissals in eight matches, and in the 2018–19 Vijay Hazare Trophy with 16 dismissals in eight matches, he was also a leading wicket-taker.
He was added to India’s Test squad in June 2018 as a substitute for Mohammed Shami for their one-off match against Afghanistan, but he did not play. He was named as a standby bowler for the 2019 Cricket World Cup in April 2019.
On 22 December 2019, Saini made his One Day International (ODI) against West Indies. In the same year, he made his Twenty20 International (T20I) debut also against West Indies. From his four overs, he claimed three wickets, including Nicholas Pooran and Shimron Hetmyer in two consecutive deliveries. In the last over of the innings, he bowled a wicket-maiden to dismiss Kieron Pollard. He was given the honor of being named the match’s man of the match.
Saini was purchased by Delhi Daredevils for the 2017 Indian Premier League for 10 lakhs in February 2017. In the next year January 2018, he was bought by Royal Challengers Bangalore for the IPL in 3 crores. He continued playing for Royal Challengers Bangalore in 2021.
