  1. Mark had shown an entrepreneurial spirit since he was a child. He used to sell rubbish bags when he was 12 years old to save up enough money to buy a pair of basketball sneakers. He also had uncommon stamps and coins for his pocket money later on.
  2. There was a strike at the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, the most widely circulated newspaper in his region when he was 16 years old. He took advantage of the circumstance and began a temporary newspaper delivery service between Cleveland and Pittsburgh.
