James Pattinson is an Australian professional cricket player who is a left-hand batsman and right-arm fast-medium bowler. Pattinson played for Victoria and Australia. He taking six wickets for the cost of 48 from his 10 overs and set the new best bowling in a List A innings record for Victoria on 23 December 2009. He made his Test debut against New Zealand on 1 December 2011. He made his ODI debut against Bangladesh on 13 April 2011. He took 5 wickets for 27 runs in the second innings and helped Australia to a 9 wicket win. then took five wickets in the first innings of the second test, and was named Man of the Series. He won another Man of the Match award in his next Test, the 2011 Boxing Day Test against India, with match figures of 6/108 and 55 runs. Pattinson made his T20I debut against South Africa on 13 October 2011. In 2013, he was bought by Kolkata Knight Riders for Indian Premier League. He was included in the Mumbai Indians team for the 2020 Indian Premier League on 2 September 2020. Pattinson is considered an aggressive fast bowler.
Pattinson’s brother Darren Pattinson is also a cricket player. He married his wife Kayla Pattinson on 2 November 2016 and the couple welcomed their daughter, Lilah Ruby Pattinson in October 2018.
