Finn Allen plays for the New Zealand cricket team. On 3 January 2017, he made his Twenty20 for Auckland in the 2016–17 Super Smash. After made his Twenty20 debut, he was selected in New Zealand’s squad for the 2016 Under-19 Cricket World Cup.
He made his List A debut for Auckland in the 2017–18 Ford Trophy on 17 February 2018 and made his first-class debut for Auckland in the 2017–18 Plunket Shield season on 9 March 2018. In a tour match for the New Zealand XI against England, Allen scored an unbeaten century in November 2019.
On 28 March 2021, Allen made his T20I debut against Bangladesh.
In March 2021, Allen was purchased by Royal Challengers Bangalore for the 2021 Indian Premier League as a replacement for Josh Philippe.
