Key was discovered on YouTube by the producers of America’s Got Talent when he was 16 years old and was invited to perform on the show’s eighth season. Key was the first magician to reach the show’s finals. He’s dubbed “Magic’s First Pop Star” by many. In 2013, he went on a six-week tour with America’s Got Talent, visiting 36 locations across the country.
Key supported Demi Lovato on her Neon Lights tour in 2014, opening for the artist alongside Fifth Harmony, Little Mix, and Cher Lloyd. Key hosted and performed magic every night. He was also asked to present at the 2014 Teen Choice Awards alongside Jennifer Lopez, Taylor Swift, and Kylie Jenner, among others.
In 2018, Key headlined the YouTube FanFest event in Mumbai, India, and was nominated for the 2018 Teen Choice Awards for Choice Male Web Star and Choice Comedy Web Star. In 2020, he surpassed 22.5 million YouTube followers.
He was a finalist on America’s Got Talent’s ninth season as a magician and then traveled with Demi Lovato’s Neon Lights tour.
