More Information About

Chris Gayle has the most international caps for the West Indies and is the only player to score three centuries – a triple hundred in Tests, a double hundred in ODIs, and a century in T20Is.

Gayle was purchased by the Kolkata Knight Riders in the  Indian Premier League player auction in April 2008, but he missed the first two games due to a Sri Lankan tour to the Caribbean. In the fourth edition of the Indian Premier League, Gayle chose to play for the Royal Challengers Bangalore. He scored 102 off 55 balls in his debut game against his former team Kolkata Knight Riders at their home ground, hitting 10 fours and seven sixes. On May 6, 2011, he hit another century, this time in Bangalore against the Kings XI Punjab, scoring 107 off 49 balls with 10 fours and nine sixes.

Kings XI Punjab purchased him for a base price of $20 million in the 2018 IPL Auction on January 28, 2018. Gayle scored 104* off 63 balls against Sunrisers Hyderabad on April 19, and his team won by 15 runs. It was his sixth century in the IPL. Gayle has been re-signed by the Kings XI Punjab franchise for the IPL 2021 season.
