She made her acting debut in the Bollywood film Yuvraaj in 2008, playing Shazia. Maghera first appeared on television in the British serial series Hollyoaks (2015-17), where she played Neeta Kaur, the main character. She has played Alisha in the Punjabi film Goreyan Nu Daffa Karo (2014), Aashira Qureshi in Mad About Dance (2014), and Nadia Badhir in the TV series Casualty (2018), among others.
