More Information About

Adam Zampa plays for the Australian national team since 2016. In the 2012–13 Sheffield Shield season, he made his first-class debut for New South Wales against Queensland. In a three-wicket victory, he took five wickets.

Despite South Australia losing the match to Western Australia, Zampa had a strong showing in the 2014–15 Matador BBQs One-Day Cup, scoring a hat-trick and taking overall figures of 4/18. Zampa re-signed with the Redbacks for two more seasons in 2015, but in order to gain more experience, he switched to the  Melbourne Stars Twenty20 team, where he would have the chance to play alongside international stars Michael Clarke and Kevin Pietersen. The summer of 2015–16 was Zampa’s most effective to that point in his career. He made an impression in both List A and Twenty20 cricket, and in 2016, he was named to Australia’s One Day Internationals and Twenty20 Internationals squads.

On February 6, 2016, he made his ODI debut in the second match of the 2015–16 Chappell–Hadlee Trophy season. On March 4, 2016, he made his Twenty20 International debut for Australia against South Africa. Before making his T20I debut for Australia in South Africa, Zampa was included in the Australian squad for the 2016 World Twenty20. Despite his inexperience, he was Australia’s leading wicket-taker, with five wickets at an average of 13.80 and an economy rate of 6.27, including a breakthrough performance of 3/23 against Bangladesh.

Zampa tied the knot with Hattie Palmer. He is a vegan who has featured in PETA commercials.
