More Information About
He made his feature debut in the romantic comedy Coming Soon (1999), which was followed by the big office success Dude, Where’s My Car? (2000).
Modeling
Kutcher signed with Next modeling agency in New York after winning an IMTA competition in 1998, featured in Calvin Klein ads, and modeled in Paris and Milan.
Founder
Kutcher has invested in various high-tech firms outside of the entertainment industry. As of August 2017, Kutcher had invested in five companies: Neighborly, Zenreach, ResearchGate, Kopari Beauty, and, most recently, Lemonade.
With Guy Oseary and Ron Burkle, as well as fund manager Chris Hollod, he co-founded the venture capital firm A-Grade Investments. When Kutcher, Oseary, and Burkle created the firm in 2010, they put $30 million of their own money into it; by 2016, Forbes assessed the group’s holdings at $236 million. Kutcher unveiled Sound Ventures, the successor to A-Grade Investments, which administers an institutional-backed fund, on March 14, 2015, at SXSW.
Controversy
In May 2012, Ashton Kutcher was widely chastised for his appearance in a Popchips marketing campaign. In a dating ad-style spoof, Kutcher appeared as an Indian man “searching for love.” Kutcher’s employment of brown face paint and a stereotyped Indian accent drew criticism from Indian-Americans and online viewers alike.
Awards
Kutcher has received the most Teen Choice Award nominations since he began acting. In addition to A Lot Like Love, What Happens in Vegas, and No Strings Attached, he has won honors for his romantic comedies A Lot Like Love, What Happens in Vegas, and No Strings Attached. As Michael Kelso in That ’70s Show, he was nominated for a Young Artist Award for Best Performance in a TV Series by a Supporting Young Actor in 1999. The Kid’s Choice Awards, MTV Movie Awards, People’s Choice Awards, and the Golden Raspberry Awards have all nominated him.
