Cole and fellow WWE colleague Booker T worked as special guest announcers for Reality of Wrestling in December 2013, alongside Rich Brennan.
After Seth Rollins declined Lesnar’s request for a rematch for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, Brock Lesnar attacked Cole, JBL, and Booker T on the March 30, 2015, episode of Raw. As a result of a storyline injury, Cole was unavailable on commentary the following week. In June 8, he announced that Byron Saxton would be replacing Booker T as the color commentator for Raw.
