He is a member of EarthGang’s Spillage Village musical collective. Which comprises Hollywood JB, JordxnBryant, and 6lack, among others, and was founded in 2010. He’s also signed to Interscope Records and J. Cole’s Dreamville Records. Along with Smino, Buddy, and Guapdad 4000, he is a member of the hip-hop supergroup Zoink Gang.
In 2018, he released DiCaprio 2, his second album. Which received critical acclaim and includes the hits “151 Rum” and “Off Deez.”
Route sang “Not My Problem” on the reissue of Dua Lipa’s second album Future Nostalgia: The Moonlight Edition. As well as “Options” on Doja Cat’s third studio album Planet Her, which was released on June 25.
His earliest exposure to music came from his parents. He collection of classic funk and soul LPs when he was a kid. The main influences include Sly and the Family Stone. D’Angelo, Wu-Tang Clan, Little Dragon, boom-bap, New York hip hop, and Arctic Monkeys. In addition to OutKast, T.I., Goodie Mob, and Gucci Mane.
