At the age of 17, she made her stage debut as Doa Ines, with her father, actor Gonzalo Vega Don Juan Tenorio. Vega also performed in the Perras on stage.
In 2003, Marimar made her television debut in Enamorate, her first TV Azteca telenovela, in which she played Fedra. The star portrayed Gina Montero in the 2007 film Mientras haya Vida. Vega starred as Karen in the series Noche Eterna in 2008.
She portrayed ‘Elisa Mendoza del Real‘ in Emperatriz in 2011. In 2012, she starred as Alejandra Santacruz Bustillos in the telenovela Amor cautivo. In 2018, she starred as ‘Valentina‘ in Marco Polo Constandse‘s film La Boda de Valentina.
