Barkha Sengupta made her film debut as dancer in the political thriller film Raajneeti (2010). In 2006, she was hosted the reality show Popkorn Newz that aired on Zoom. Sengupta was also hosted the reality show Comedy Circus Ke Ajoobe in 2012. She was participated in the dance reality television show Nach Baliye 3 in 2006. She was also participated other reality shows scuh as Ek Khiladi Ek Haseena (2008), Box Cricket League 1 (2014-2015), Box Cricket League (2016).
Sengupta played a negetive role as a Nandini Chirtubal in the television series Shaadi Mubarak that aired on Star Plus.
On 2 March 2008, she married actor and model Indraneil Sengupta.
