Ben Cutting plays for Australia in domestic cricket. He first made an impression in the Indian Premier League in 2016, when he helped the Sunrisers Hyderabad win the finals match. In the 2018 IPL auction, he was purchased by the Mumbai Indians in January 2018. In June 2019, he was picked to play for the Edmonton Royals franchise team in the 2019 Global T20 Canada tournament. He was picked to play for the Amsterdam Knights in the inaugural Euro T20 Slam cricket tournament in July 2019. The tournament, however, was cancelled the following month. The Mumbai Indians released him ahead of the 2020 IPL auction.
Cutting was purchased by the Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL auction in February 2021, ahead of the 2021 Indian Premier League.
