Eoin Morgan is a left handed batsman and a right-arm medium bowler. Morgan played in the Indian Premier League in 2010. Royal Challengers Bangalore purchased him for $220,000 at the previous player auction. He was, however, in and out of the side on a regular basis and was not given much opportunity. Morgan was bought for $350,000 by the Kolkata Knight Riders for the next three years at the 2011 IPL auctions. Morgan chose not to participate in IPL 2014 because England was playing an ODI series against Sri Lanka at home at the time.
Eoin Morgan agreed to play in the Indian Premier League in 2015 and was purchased for $150,000 by Sunrisers Hyderabad. He was unable to play in England’s ODI match against Ireland during the tournament. He also appeared in seven IPL games for the Sunrisers Hyderabad in 2016.
Kings XI Punjab purchased him for Rs. 2 crore in the 2017 IPL Auctions. Before returning to England for a training camp, he played until April 30. He was sold to Kolkata Knight Riders for 5.25 crores in the 2020 Indian Premier League auction. Morgan was appointed KKR captain during the season.
