Khaleel Ahmed is a right handed batsman and a right arm fast-medium bowler. On February 5, 2017, he made his Twenty20 debut for Rajasthan in the 2016–17 Inter State Twenty-20 Tournament. On October 6, 2017, he made his first-class debut for Rajasthan in the 2017–18 Ranji Trophy. On 5 February 2018, he made his List A debut for Rajasthan in the 2017–18 Vijay Hazare Trophy.
In the 2018 IPL auction, he was purchased by the Sunrisers Hyderabad in January 2018.
Khursheed Ahmed, Khaleel’s father, worked as a nurse in a village near Tonk. His parents didn’t want him to enter a cricket academy because they wanted him to be a doctor.
