Suchith is a left-handed batsman and a slow left-arm orthodox bowler. In the 2014–15 Vijay Hazare Trophy final against Punjab in Ahmedabad, he made his senior cricket debut for Karnataka.
The IPL franchise Mumbai Indians purchased Suchith at the auction prior to the 2015 Indian Premier League. In the Indian Premier League, he made his debut for Mumbai against Kings XI Punjab. Suchith was purchased by the Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL auction in February 2021, ahead of the 2021 Indian Premier League.
