Jofra Archer made his first-class debut for Sussex in July 2016 during Pakistan’s tour of England, and his List A debut against Gloucestershire later that month in the 2016 Royal London One-Day Cup.
The Rajasthan Royals paid £800,000 for him in the 2018 IPL auction. Archer, then made his Indian Premier League (IPL) debut against the Mumbai Indians on April 22, 2018, taking three wickets and earning Player of the Match honors.
Archer took a hat-trick in the final over of a 2018 T20 Blast match against Middlesex in August 2018. Despite his side, Rajasthan Royals, finishing last in the league, Archer won the IPL Most Valuable Player award in 2020.
