Jasprit Bumrah is an Indian professional cricket player. After a successful season with the Mumbai Indians at the Indian Premier League, and together with his domestic team Gujarat, he was named in India’s squad for its 2015–16 series against Australia, as a replacement to an injured Mohammed Shami.
Bumrah made his Test debut against South Africa on 5 January 2018. He is the primary Asian bowler to require five wickets in a very check period of play in South Africa, England, and Australia within the 2015-2016 season and he is also the highest wicket-taker in test matches in a debut year with 48 wickets in 8 matches.
